Clients' results in Dubbing with Amanda

Amanda's studio and dubbing techniques are trusted by Brazilian, European, American and Asian agencies, game developers and studios for clients such as Minecraft (Microsoft), Discovery, AIM Films, Liquid Team, DobleUGames, SandBox & Albion, Digital Extremes, RightNow Media, Youtube influencers and many more.

Dubbing, Original Voice & Characters

When it comes to dubbing, it is not so important to tell about her most common roles as it is to tell about how clients benefit from her acting, musical and creative skills when she performs impersonations, characters, ages, extreme emotions, novel timbres and specific vocal attributes.

Dubbing and Character development are the areas she explores her creativity the most by embodying real-world experiences that are not that easy to visit by thought.

Her voice is not constrained by vices, rigidity, common-places or limitations. On the contrary, she's first a true actress - who happens to have a studio. Not the opposite.

Unique benefits & advantages

Conveniences for the client

What's most expected from a voice actress for a commercial recording is:

  • the ability to work along with creative directors, audio producers, studio owners and the team involved while receiving multiple inputs and adjusting the read fast, in real-time;

  • vocal flexibility and creativity to implement quickly and accurately what the director is asking;

  • and invisible acting - nothing can sound fake in voice-over, especially in dubbing (unless sounding fake is the instruction!)

Vocal Versatility & Locale Accuracy

Amanda's studio also offers 24/7:

  • A male voice (young adult, adult, mid-age, characters and original voice)

  • Children's voices (boys, 4 to 10 years old, with the ability to perform characters and original voices)

Amanda's vocal range and creativity allow a variety of real and unique roles and characters. She developed characters such as:

  • Children (boy and girl)
  • Creatures and AI
  • Female Teen
  • Female Adult
  • Middle Age Female
  • Seniors Male and Female.

She performs intrinsically the following accents and dialects:

  • Accents: American, Russian, European and Brazilian

  • Brazilian native dialects: neutral, Paulista, Carioca, Mineiro and Catarinense (manezinho). She's speaking both Carioca and Paulista accents since she was a kid and she incorporated other accents because she used to live in those geographical regions.

She can also create unique characters with new, exclusive linguistic and para-linguistic traits.

Additional & complementary services

Besides having those characteristics, Amanda also:

  • records remotely from her fully equipped home studio, both offline (with multiple takes for the producers to pick) and online (in a remote-directed session through Source Connect, for example);

  • records lip-sync on-site or in another preferred studio in Brazil;

  • deliver synchronized, ready-to-be-embed audio files, with expressivity and range, which is crucial for entertainment;

  • translates or has a professional to translate andadapt scripts to make them sound even more natural, compelling, organic, native or "speakable" within mouth movement timeframes and the character's personality;

  • produces ADR and Dubbing projects from the original version (script preparation and translation) all the way to casting, directing, recording, curating, mixing dialogues and mastering the final episode.

If you need a male, a kid and/or another female voice, feel free to ask. Amanda and her studio are partners of other artists, studios, and creative professionals in the US, Europe and Asia.

She's picky and exigent when it comes to casting as much as she values variety and contrast when receiving auditions and directing voice actors.

Frequent Questions

What equipment do you use in a dubbing recording?

I record in a professional voice over home studio, with a treated, isolated vocal booth on a Neumann TLM 103 condenser microphone and a Focusrite Scarlet interface. I can use ProTools or Adobe Audition CC.

I also can use 3 screens at the same time.

My audio has been approved and requested by multiple engineers and studios, including through remote-directed sessions.

If needed, we can use Source Connect Standard or other remote recording software of your preference.

Can we record online or be in a meeting with you while you dub?

Yes, absolutely. By the way, I use 2 screens at the same time to have plenty of space to optimize our dubbing recording session, so I can:

  • watch the video while I'm dubbing,
  • monitor the signal of ADR and operate the DAW,
  • read the script or the subtitle separately,
  • be in a video call during the remote recording session.

This way, you can monitor my performance and provide real-time feedback through the majority of teleconferencing apps (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Team, WhatsApp, Skype...) or you can record me in real-time through Source Connect, Steinberg VST Connect, Session Link Pro and Clean Feed.

In Amanda's words

I say that I develop characters, yes, and that's because that's what I do technically. However, in fact, what I am doing all the time is telling people's stories, memories, hopes and emotions. Stories in a voice that's not listened from the outside, but comes from within everyone. Yes, I look for that people, that voice and that story that's already inside.

In order to keep the listener immersed in a game, a story or a reality, I employ a variety of multi-disciplinary skills, tricks and techniques of sinesthesic narration and characters’ development to sometimes bring real-world, skin-to-skin, flawless experiences, sometimes to bring the novelty, the unexpectable, what has never been seen and heard before.
